Lisa O’Sullivan started talking early and hasn’t stopped; it seemed like a good idea to make a career out of a natural skill.

She has travelled the globe covering multiple sports for radio, TV and online.  A commentator for the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Beijing 2022 for OBS Lisa covered Speed Skating and Para-Snowboarding having introduced TV commentary of Goalball to a TV audience at a Paralympic Games for the first time at Tokyo 2020, – where she was also part of the commentary team on the opening and closing ceremonies.

The hot ring side mixed-zone Olympic Equestrian competition at Rio2016 was part of her job as ENG reporter, having been part of the BAFTA winning crew for Sunset and Vine/Channel 4 at London 2012 reporting on the sailing, rowing and judo.

For more than 20 years she has been heard on talkSPORT – the world’s biggest sports radio station, covering tennis since 2002, along with rugby union, athletics, multiple Olympics and Commonwealth Games, the Tour de France and the 2023 Women’s World Cup.

Lisa has also been a netball commentator for Sky Sports and a commentator on stages of the World Rally Championship. She also hosts Spin the Rally Pod for Dirtfish.com having made podcasts for more nearly 14 years.

A trip to South America to work on the PanAmerican and Para PanAmerican Games in Santiago meant a chance to work with the highlights team covering 4 or 5 sports a day for the spectacular event, and the bonus of watching and commentating on a superb opening ceremony for the Para PanAmerican Games.

Recently the electric sport of Floorball has been added to the commentary portfolio, along with SkiMo (Ski Mountaineering). Lisa enjoys the privilege of being a judge for the Sports Journalists Association in the UK.
